Kennet House

The transformation of Kennet House is taking shape. The scheme which won planning permission in December is under construction in central Reading. Kennet House is a prominent 1960s office block on the waterside in central Reading which has fallen into disrepair in recent years and now lies vacant. Crest Nicholson intend to extend and refurbish Kennet House as a high quality apartment building, providing 103 new homes for the community.

The conversion will retain the existing concrete frame with a new external skin giving the building a new lease of life. Four additional storeys will be added, anchoring the prominent corner and creating apartments with great views across the River Kennet and beyond.
