Chris Longman, LOM architecture and design

Chris Longman | Architect

BA(hons) MArch

Chris Longman is friendly, enthusiastic and meticulous in his approach, and has a natural aptitude for technical design. From coordinating details to scoping new suppliers and specifying products, he always goes the extra mile to ensure clients get quality and value for money.

He is proficient in CAD, SketchUp and Photoshop, and was recently trained to use Revit. He also enjoys hand sketching and uses this skill to communicate design ideas and develop details.

Chris has recently been working on bank branch fitouts across London and a feasibility study for a large residential and office development. His previous experience has seen him deliver a new care and rehabilitation centre, taking a leading role coordinating design details and liaising between suppliers, contractors and consultants.

Chris previously worked at a local practice in Canterbury, supporting their masterplanning team on projects for two major UK housing developers. He also has a keen interest in the retail sector. His dissertation titled ‘Malls without walls’ looked at the need for private investment in the high street to allow retailers to compete with their online rivals.

He is currently studying for his Part 3 qualification at the University of Westminster.
