At last night’s AJ120 Awards Dinner it was revealed LOM architecture and design had made its debut in joint 116th place in the Architects’ Journal annual countdown of largest UK practices, after seeing a growth of 30 per cent in the last year.
Held at the Tower of London, over 600 architects turned out to see where their practice had placed and who had been recognised for a host of special awards. As well as joining the AJ120 for the first time, the practice was also shortlisted for ‘Employer of the Year’ in recognition of its ‘friendly and flexible working culture’ but lost out to Hawkins Brown on the night.
Richard Hutchinson, Director, LOM said: ‘We are delighted to be recognised as an AJ120 practice for the first time. It is another positive step in the development of our practice alongside the opening of our new studio in Shoreditch, building our great team and portfolio, and creating new directors from within the practice.’
The AJ120 survey has been the definitive record of the UK’s largest practices for the past 20 years and recognises and rewards achievements made by these firms each year. Published annually since 1995, the survey offers a snapshot of the profession over the previous calendar year and measures the level of optimism among practices for the year to come.
