Students and their families have high expectations when it comes to their choice of school, college or university. While fundamentally the buildings and sites need to have the correct facilities, there is an increasing focus on the student experience.
We put students and staff at the centre of our designs to create environments that will support and inspire them. We collaborate with clients to ensure that their spaces are flexible, inclusive and reflect their institution’s unique identity. Our broad experience ranges from campus and borough masterplans to new buildings, refurbishments and adaptations.
Technology will continue to transform education, so it is vital that institutions can adapt. We design buildings and spaces that are flexible so that they can accommodate changing technologies and new teaching methods.
With students and staff spending more time than ever in front of screens, the campus also plays an important role in bringing people together.
Our designs cater to different learning and working styles – balancing quiet, focused study areas with more collaborative spaces and social hubs. In addition, we have also delivered specialist teaching spaces such as music studios, labs and sports facilities.

Education is about preparing students for the future, and the development of a campus or building should be considered in the same way.
We work closely with schools, colleges and universities to build a vision for their campus that is supported by a long-term development plan so individual projects work towards that vision.
We look at the constraints and opportunities for the buildings or site and produce option appraisals to help clients understand how their needs could be met. From designing new campuses to enhancing or increasing the capacity of existing buildings, we deliver practical masterplans with robust, sustainable and cost-effective solutions that will stand the test of time.
