We are delighted to announce that from 1 May 2017, Richard Molyneux of the education and historic buildings practice Molyneux Kerr Architects will be joining forces with LOM architecture and design.
As a founding partner of Molyneux Kerr Architects (MKA), Richard Molyneux has delivered higher education projects for over 20 years, working with clients including Queen Mary University of London, London Metropolitan University, Birkbeck College and the London School of Economics. Richard is bringing his expertise to LOM, while his former MKA partner Colin Kerr becomes a consultant with Thomas Ford and Partners.
Richard Molyneux, director and co-founder of MKA, said: ‘We are like minded practices with a straightforward and friendly approach to delivering complex projects to a high professional standard. I am looking forward to offering existing clients a higher capacity and wider ranging architectural service whist still being able help with the reworking and adaptation of existing buildings’.
Richard’s experience and MKA’s portfolio of higher education and historic buildings work will complement that of LOM’s with primary and secondary schools, alongside LOM’s experience in masterplanning and complex mixed-use developments. Together we will be able to offer a comprehensive service covering the breadth of the education sector including campus and estate planning, new schools, higher education facilities and historic buildings.
LOM’s 40 strong architectural design team incorporating MKA’s specialist expertise will create a powerful combination to support the design and delivery of large complex higher and further education projects.
