Richard Hutchinson | Director
BA(Hons)Arch DipArch(Oxford) DipPM RIBA
Richard Hutchinson has been a partner and director of the practice for over 20 years, leading a wide range of architectural and interior design commissions in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, the Americas and Australia.
He plays a key role in maintaining design quality, project programming and information management systems. He has aligned his passion for design with project management skills to better deliver the design as well as technical stages on projects. Creative yet structured design processes based upon clear business priorities now underpin the way the practice undertakes all projects.
Richard leads the practice’s work in the education sector, bringing a rigorous, strategic approach to our work with schools, colleges, universities and local authorities. His retail sector experience has involved work on four continents and includes design blueprint and roll out programmes for major banks in Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean and the Antipodes. More recently he has been responsible for a number of successful retail and workplace schemes developed for HSBC, and is currently leading the design of Santander’s major new campus in Milton Keynes.
Richard is also a foundation governor at a London secondary school and supports the RIBA as part of their Client Liaison Group. A keen ‘ex sportsman’, having represented school, college and club at athletics, rugby and football, he now just about manages to walk his beloved dog and play golf socially!
