West Lodge First and Middle schools have been amalgamated to form West Lodge Primary School. The school is now run by a single head and governing body but operates from two school buildings. LOM was commissioned to develop a strategic development plan and deliver a single school entrance, identity and staff facilities as immediate priorities.
We developed the brief through consultation with Harrow Transforming Learning Team, Governors, Headmistress, school leadership team, teachers and pupils. Consultation took the form of workshops, presentation and feedback sessions.
Guidance and exemplar school design were referenced as part of the brief development process. Phase one is now complete, creating combined staff facilities, a single new entrance and a unifying internal ‘street’.
