Workplace interior design for HSBC's new Middle East head office in Downtown Dubai
LOM completed the workplace strategy, workplace design and interior design for the new HSBC Middle East head office in Downtown Dubai.
With a workspace floor area of over 236,000 square feet and accommodating nearly 3,000 staff, the building is an exemplar of HSBC’s global OpenWork programme. This flexible and collaborative working initiative has seen the bank moving away from fixed personal desks and offices towards a more adaptable, shared workspace model.

LOM were responsible for developing HSBC’s Global Workplace Standards documents and have assisted the bank in implementing and monitoring delivery of new worplace initiative across their global property portfolio.
The project includes a 200 seat staff restaurant, coffee shop, town hall auditoriums, visitor meeting suites and a training and meeting facility for the HSBC University programme.
