For our annual summer social Team LOM headed to the Lee Valley White Water Centre near Waltham Cross on 1 September 2017 for an afternoon of white water rafting.
It was the ride of our lives on the 300m Olympic standard course that is fed by 13,000 litres of water a second! Purpose-built for the canoe slalom events at the London 2012 games it is still used for Team GB’s weekly training.
Our adrenalin was pumping after we tackled the world class rapids, with the help of expert guides, although a few of us did go overboard. Afterwards we celebrated with a barbecue, drinks and live music on the terrace.
Thank you to the Lee Valley White Water Centre for looking after us.
